My Haiku Debut
...and more to come!
There are two things I love in writing: brevity and boundaries. I love a limited word count, and I love the challenge of trying to fit my words to the requirements of a particular form. Though I usually write prose (drabbles, flash fiction, short stories, novelettes), this spring I switched gears to poetry and wrote some haiku. I’m pleased to share that five of my romantic haiku poems appear in the newly published Haiku for Soulmates, edited by Gabriela Marie Milton and published by Literary Revelations.

Fated, not chosen
My heart tailor-made for yours
Two souls knit for life
Haiku for Soulmates is available in ebook and paperback from Amazon.
Once I was bitten by the haiku-writing bug, I wanted to publish some more. Luckily, Micromance Magazine is launching a sister publication, The Haikuist. I wrote a set of five interconnected romantic haiku, and yesterday, editor G. Lynn Brown accepted them for the inaugural issue! Submissions are still open. If you want to try your hand at romantic haiku, send yours in by May 31st.
Thank you for reading.
